‘Tranzsparent”…. starts off nicely with a long but relaxed intro built around the sharing of unformed ideas . Plenty of space and no forced direction. Slowly a theme emerges with some great tension and sense of anticipation from John’s expressive percussive drumming followed by some haunting sax from Steve and tasteful counterpoints from Dave. The relaxed feel moves on to a more serious passage which seems to question the relative calm and takes on a more serious feel. The tension builds . The dynamics change with some mysterious reverb swells from Colin which leads the music off into the far away distance only to be brought back with some thoughtful and reflective harmonica over a tight rhythm section . The rhythm then picks up with another great extended interplay between harmonica and Sax.
